The Russian Evgeny Makarov is a guitarist I got to know from the wonderful ways he set the poems of Mayakovsky to music, in addition to his free jazz-improvisations. Together we recorded the piece An einem Tag (In one day) in 2012. Wonder whether the stalker from Andrei Tarkovsky’s film by that name liked it?
