Lutz Boddenberg and I wanted to put our collaboration in mein Bruder Karin (my brother Karen) into a broader context: on the one hand, from his experiences as composer for film (for media companies that have included Arte, Radio Bremen, RBB, among others) and, on the other hand, from mine as an announcer and narrator. To that end, we got involved with an audio play, Hotel Savoy, an adaptation of Joseph Roth’s novel by the same name, for the author’s 120th birthday in September 2014.
